Who We Are Founded in 1971 in Athens, Ohio , Snider, Fuller & Associates (SFA) has grown to be one of the largest providers of business insurance, employee benefits and retirement plans in the area. SFA also offers a broad array of investment, insurance, and financial planning products and services to individuals. Our company is committed to staying current with new resources and technologies available to us. We also take pride in the continuing education of our team in order to better serve our clients. The representatives and management team at Snider, Fuller & Associates include Mark Snider, Jim Fuller and Carol Showalter. In addition, the staff is comprised of seven uniquely qualified employees who are dedicated to providing outstanding customer service. The representatives and staff all work together as a team to find appropriate solutions for clients and to provide the best service possible. Clients come first. Mark Snider, founder and President of Snider, Fuller & Associates, has worked in the field of insurance, investments and employee benefits since 1971. Mark and his wife Rita have raised 5 daughters in Athens. A graduate of Otterbein College, Mark is a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), and Certified Financial Planner (CFP™). A lecturer in Insurance and Estate Planning at Ohio University since 1975, Mark is also a Investment Advisor Representative. Mark is a member of the Board of Directors of Hocking Valley Bank. "Community Service is an important part of my life. I like to get involved." Mark has served in a leadership capacity with the Dairy Barn Southeastern Ohio Cultural Arts Center, Athens Jaycees, Athens Chamber of Commerce, O'Bleness Memorial Hospital, Athens Downtown Kiwanis Club, Tri-County Mental Health & Counseling, Ohio University College of Business, Richland United Methodist Church, Athens County Habitat for Humanity and Doctor's Hospital of Nelsonville. Mark has been active in fund-raising for United Appeal of Athens County, Athens County Children Services and the 317 Board. "Involvement in professional organizations and activities is a natural way for me to grow; it increases my knowledge of the industry in order to expand my horizons and serve my clients." In the professional realm, Mark has been a Qualifying and Life member of The Million Dollar Round Table® since 1976, including several Court of the Table and Top of the Table qualifications. The MDRT is The Premier Association of Financial Professionals®. He is also a member of the International Forum and is a past president of the Ohio Association of Life Underwriters. He is a former chair and an Ambassador of Ohio AIFAPAC, and a past National Board member of the Association of Health Insurance Agents (AHIA).  James Fuller LUTCF Vice President, Individual Products & Sales Member, MDRT® "I am very committed to my work and to the people of Southeastern Ohio." Jim Fuller is Vice President of Individual Products and Service at Snider, Fuller & Associates and has over 25 years of experience as an insurance and financial advisor. A graduate of The Ohio State University, College of Business, Jim is a Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow. Jim served as President of the Ohio Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors during the 2000-2001 year. He serves as the Regional Chair of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors Political Action Committee. Jim has traveled extensively throughout Ohio and surrounding states as a guest speaker to industry professionals regarding the education of clients and agents, the necessity of community involvement and ethical conduct in the field of insurance and financial services. Jim is a member of the Million Dollar Round Table®, The Premier Association of Financial Professionals®. Jim has taught in the Finance Department at Ohio University. "Community involvement is critical. I feel strongly that it is each person's responsibility to support their community." Jim has built a solid reputation of community involvement through service to local government and civic organizations, and has been actively involved on boards of several local nonprofit organizations. Jim has served on Athens City Council. He currently serves on the Metropolitan Housing Authority and co-hosts a segment of "Live From Studio-B-The Civil War" on WOUB-AM. "I believe it's important for my clients to know they will always receive credible and objective advice. Everyone in this office is committed to offering exceptional service. Carol Showalter CEBS, CFP Vice President Employee Benefit "We've worked with many of our business clients for years. One of the benefits of a long relationship is that we learn a lot about a client's philosophy and culture, and are able to recommend the best fit for that client. Carol earned a BA in Business Administration from Rutgers College and her MBA from Ohio University She holds a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation. Carol was certified by the International Society of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists in 1986, and has been a fellow since 1989. In 1993, she was designated as a Certified Financial Planner (CFP™) "The challenging yet exciting thing about group benefits is that the field is constantly changing. This gives me the opportunity to continue to expand my knowledge, to build on what I have learned through my previous work experience and education. Carol, who has been with Snider, Fuller & Associates since 1987, works with business clients on their group benefits by designing and implementing life, health, and disability programs, and assisting business clients with interpretation and compliance with governmental regulations "I am passionate about the Kolbe Concept®. I've seen how it has helped the people in our organization to work more efficiently and with greater satisfaction. A bonus is that it can be applied in one's personal life as well. Carol has been an independent certified Kolbe Specialist since 2004. She works with businesses to assist in employee recruitment and retention. Vickie earned a B.S. degree from The Ohio State University, and an MBA degree from Ohio University. As a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®), Vickie assists individuals in investment, insurance, retirement and financial planning. Often working in conjunction with a Sales Associate, Vickie utilizes various computer programs, personal interviews, evaluation, and research to match client needs with available products, and to prepare presentations, illustrations and documents. Vickie is an Investment Advisor Representative through Snider, Fuller and Associates. |  | | | Deborah Dreifort | |  | After earning degrees from Ohio University in Pre-Law (History) and Theater, Deborah settled in Athens working for five years as Finance Coordinator with a worker-owned business and then as a Staff Accountant with a local accounting firm. She was recruited by Snider, Fuller and Associates in 2001 to act as Business Operations Associate. In addition to maintaining all corporate financial data and systems, Deborah manages large projects, coordinates staff/agent communication and facilitates meetings. | | | | Rebecca Holley | |  | Rebecca has been with Snider, Fuller and Associates since 1975. As a Business Support Associate, she types correspondence, prepares materials for presentations, calls insurance companies for summaries of policies and provides life insurance policy service to individual clients. Rebecca greets clients at the front desk and is the courteous voice who routes the phone calls to the proper person. She is also responsible for mailings, purchasing office supplies, and a variety of other tasks. |  | | | Luetta Marshall | |  | Luetta joined Snider, Fuller and Associates in July 2001, after four years of experience with a local investment firm. Her primary responsibilities are working in the investment area and preparing portfolio summaries for investment clients. She processes new investment business and services existing investment clients. |  | | | Kate Moran | |  | Kate graduated from Ohio University with a B.A. in Economics. Upon graduation, Kate joined Snider, Fuller as a fulltime employee in the spring of 2008. She currently works servicing group and individual investment accounts, which involves research, preparing summaries, and attending client meetings. Kate is a native of Athens, Ohio and is a licensed insurance agent in the State of Ohio. |  | | | Jamie O'Nail | |  | A licensed insurance agent in the state of Ohio, Jamie joined Snider, Fuller & Associates in 2001 with 5 years of customer service experience. Jamie provides sales support to employer groups, and assists with administrative issues and insurance carrier complaint resolution. She also works with clients concerning benefits and difficult claims issues, and handles member appeals with insurance companies. |  | | | Susann Williamson | | |  | Susann graduated from Federal Hocking High School and recently earned her Associates Degree in Business Management from Hocking College and became a licensed insurance agent in the State of Ohio. Her background and special skills, especially with older clients, are a perfect fit at Snider, Fuller and Associates. With her combined experience at a local opthalmologist's office and most recently with an investment firm, the transition here to the individual health and life insurance, and especially the Medicare D area, has been timely. |  | |
